Amazing Autumn Creek Walk

You will always remember this wonderful walk in Howard Creek with our guides Botanist Denis Conover and Herpetologist-Birder Wayne Wauligman as we explore all plant and animal life. We will identify all plants, turn over rocks, see birds, reptiles, butterflies, amphibians and fish. We are walking IN the creek and on rock so wear sneakers or other appropriate shoes.  Meet at the Miami Whitewater Visitor Center Parking Lot and we will then shuttle to the Creek. You will feel like you have gone up the Amazon!

For ages 10 and above, NOT stroller accessible, NOT wheelchair accessible, NO restrooms available, Program happens rain or shine

Nature’s Kaleidoscope

Families will work together to collect the parts to make a kaleidoscope keepsake when they stop by both Fernald Preserve and Miami Whitewater Forest. While visiting take the opportunity to share the patterns you discover by adding to a collaborative canvas painting at either park.  Start at the Visitor Center at either park to pick up a sheet of simple activities guaranteed to connect you and your family to nature!
